Julphar to continue its CME program for pharmacists – JUMP

Julphar has conducted its 3rd and 4th rounds of JUMP, the Julphar Updates on Modern Pharmacy accredited CME (Continuous Medical Education) program aiming pharmacists in UAE. The events took place at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Dubai and at the Jumeirah Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi – respectively on September 1st and 2nd.

Those editions of JUMP were attended by over 200 pharmacists in both locations, and were an opportunity for invited speakers Dr Sanah Hasan, lecturer at the University of Sharjah, Dr Abduelmula Abduelkarem, Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice at the University of Sharjah, to address the audience on pharmacists’ favorites therapies in the management of viral respiratory infections and on the appreciation of pharmacists’ role in patient management.

The speakers also invited some of the attending pharmacists to come on stage to share with their fellows the way JUMP has helped them improve their knowledge and change their perspective on modern pharmacy, and how the program supported them dealing with the plural situations they face in their daily work environment.

“JUMP, launched in collaboration with the Emirates Medical Association (EMA), has been designed in recognition of the remarkable effort pharmacists make to sustain and improve the public health and to highlight the importance of their role in the overall healthcare system in the country. It will support the company in its mission to enhance the health and well-being of the UAE community through excellence in pharmacy practice”, addressed Dr Hosam Badr, Julphar marketing director. 

Further editions of JUMP are expected to take place on a regular basis.
