Julphar Bangladesh’s Board of Directors meets in Dhaka

Julphar Bangladesh’s management team met in its office of Dhaka on February 8th for the company’s Board meeting for 2016’s last quarter.

 

The Board, chaired by Mr. Nawaf Ghobash Ahmed Saeed, received the visit of Julphar’s Chief Financial Officer Mr. Jerome Carle and Business Affairs Senior Director Mr. Saud Al Nuaimi.

 

During the meeting, the Board acknowledged the company’s performance for 2016 and its expectations for 2017, based on last year’s achievements. The Board was also updated on other developments, including its financial situation and revenues.

 

Commenting on the meeting, Julphar Bangladesh’s Chief Operating Officer Mr. Sudhir Kumar Sinha said: “The Board is confident that Julphar Bangladesh will deliver the targeted revenues for the year 2017. Last year was Julphar Bangladesh’s first year, and the positive performance we reached in 2016 makes us optimistic for the year to come.”

 

Julphar Bangladesh is a subsidiary of the UAE-based company, Julphar Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries. The 228,705 square feet state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is located in the north of Dhaka, in the district of Gazipur. It produces over 100 products – inclusive of antibiotics/antimicrobials, anti-ulcerants, anti-inflammatory, anti-hypertensive, oral anti-diabetics, and dermatological and nutritional supplements. 

 

The next meeting of the Board of Directors is scheduled to take place during the second week of April 2017.
