Julphar’s Continuous Medical Education (CME) program for pharmacists “JUMP” (Julphar Updates on Modern Pharmacy) participated as a platinum sponsor in the 3rd annual GCC Pharmacy Congress, which took place from October 30th to November 1st at Al Murooj Rotana Dubai.
The Congress was directed to update hospital and community pharmacists with topics of modern pharmacy management – including, but not limited to: regulations, medication safety, medication reconciliation, supply chain management, antimicrobial stewardship, pharmacy benefits management, informatics and technologies.
JUMP sponsored over 200 pharmacists to attend the Congress. All attendees had the chance to learn about the latest innovations in implementing clinical pharmacy services in hospitals and ambulatory care, and gain insights into the new technologies in pharmacy practice.
“JUMP, launched in collaboration with the Emirates Medical Association (EMA), has been designed in recognition of the remarkable effort pharmacists make to sustain and improve the public health and to highlight the importance of their role in the overall healthcare system in the country.” said Dr Hosam Badr, Marketing Director at Julphar. “It will support the company in its mission to enhance the health and well-being of the UAE community through excellence in pharmacy practice.”
