Julphar, one of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturers in the Middle East and Africa, has partnered with Silicon Valley digital technology company, inui Health.

inui Health’s mobile urinalysis platform delivers a cost-effective diagnostics test that provides clinically accurate results, which users can view instantly via an app. The inui diagnostic system measures protein, glucose, leukocytes, nitrites and ketones and can be used to monitor general health, kidney function, metabolic disorders (e.g. diabetes mellitus) and screen for urinary tract infections (UTI).

“We are delighted to be entering into a partnership with inui Health,” said Jerome Carle, General Manager of Julphar.

“As technology is improving all the time, we need to match the technology with the specific needs of people. Technology can greatly enhance the lives of the patients and we are confident that inui Health’s game-changing approach will have a positive, long-lasting impact on healthcare in the UAE.

“We are taking an important step that will allow us to capitalize on the exciting growth opportunities that exist in mobile tech. This partnership will help us to pave innovative new roads and allow us to bring new classes of product offerings to the region.”

inui Health’s products help consumers detect complications early, monitor their health and easily share their health information so they can work with their healthcare providers for timely interventions.

“By partnering with Julphar, the premier pharmaceutical manufacturer in the Middle East and Africa, people will have access to reliable diagnostic testing even in the most remote areas”, said Reza Kazemipour, chief revenue office of inui Health. “Our goal is to bring Silicon Valley solutions to solve worldwide medical issues and we are thrilled that Julphar has the same vision.”

Julphar earlier registered major products in cardiovascular and men’s health segments, two of the biggest therapeutic areas in the market. Julphar also recently added to its diabetes portfolio by partnering with industry leaders DEXCOM and BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), to launch a new Continuous Glucose Monitoring system (CGM) and to supply disposable insulin pens in the UAE.
