We are a world leader in biotechnology thanks to our UAE-based biopharmaceutical facility. We began manufacturing the raw materials needed to make insulin in 2012, becoming the first company in the Middle East to do so. Our facility is now one of the most advanced in the region and we are one of the largest manufacturers of insulin in the world. It has the capacity to produce 1,500kg of recombinant human insulin and insulin analogues crystals (rDNA), equivalent to a combination of 30 million vials and 25m cartridges and pens per year.
